Mounting the hardware - what's next?

One thing I will give the UniFi equipment credit for, is its very user-friendly mounting hardware. The AP's (access points) came with a circular cut-out with pre-placed spots to mark your holes - and also a tiny built in level in the cut-out. It made mounting very easy (despite myself finding a wall-stud more than once when drilling for wall-anchors).

I was able to do the same in the kitchen and upstairs office so now the signals should hopefully (mostly) be optimized.

What's next

Solving this:

Mess of equipment in a box, lacking organization
Figure 2: Current state of equipment

The wall cabinet in the garage cannot hold everything - so I am leaning towards a small server rack to hold all this neatly. I will probably find some small patch cables and save the longer ones for other uses. This likely won't grow further, because once I get to a media server, or homelab type setup - that will probably not want to live in the garage due to temperature reasons.

Until next time...
